Renewal Notice

Manitoba’s ODS certification is renewable annually and is valid until June 1st each year, regardless of start or payment date. 

If you have let your certification lapse for 5 consecutive years or more, it becomes invalid and re-certification is required (See ‘Reinstatement of Certification’ below).

New Graduate Application

All new graduates, either from Red River College (RCC) or Assiniboine Community College (ACC), are required to apply for a MOPIA certification after completing the course. To do this, simply fill out this form and send it in!

Application Fee: $25

Licenses expire June 1st each year, regardless of start or payment date.

Reinstatement of Provincial Certification

Use this form if you have let your provincial certification lapse for a period of 5 years or more. There is an additional fee of $25.00 to reinstate your license, plus the yearly renewal fee for 1 or 2 years.

Distributeurs secondaires

All companies who purchase parts or substances under the Manitoba Ozone Depleting Substances and Other Halocarbons Regulation are required to have a valid Secondary Distributor Permit.  The Secondary Distributor Permit period is valid until December 31st each year, regardless of the date the application was submitted or date payment was made.

Out-of-Province Application

If you have moved to Manitoba and currently hold an Ozone Depleting Substances certification from another province, fill out this application to see if you are eligible to convert your out of province certification into a MOPIA certification.

If you do not hold any ODS certification and need one, please see the ‘Training’ tab for options.

ODS Record Data Sheets

Les techniciens certifiés et les titulaires de permis de distributeur secondaire sont tenus de soumettre les enregistrements d'utilisation des SAO pour l'année précédente au plus tard le 1er février de l'année en cours.

Demande de permis de refroidisseur

Ce permis permet à MOPIA de suivre le nombre de refroidisseurs en opération, convertis et mis hors service dans la province. Cette information donne aussi à MOPIA une représentation de la quantité de frigorigène CFC utilisée dans la province.

Demande de permis FFE

Tout système FFE (Fixed Fire Extinguishing) ou Extinction Incendie Fixe est tenu par la loi d'être enregistré auprès de MOPIA. Lors de l'enregistrement, le système FFE recevra un permis. Ces permis permettent à MOPIA de suivre l'utilisation des halons dans la province.

Outreach Session Registration May - July 2024

MOPIA is excited to once again announce a number of outreach session across Manitoba. These outreach sessions aim to bring stakeholders together and discuss issues and news in the industry. It is free to register and a complimentary breakfast or lunch will be provided. 

If you are interested in attending the outreach sessions which take place between late May and early July, fill out the provided registration form and issue it back to us through the mail, email, or in person.
