Handling Cylinders

  • Ensure that the cylinder is properly labeled
  • Close the value after each use and when empty
  • Store and keep the cylinder somewhere safe away from the risk of physical damage
  • Before use inspect to make sure that is is not dirty or damaged
  • Never fill a recovery cylinder more than 80% full.
  • Keep away from sources of flames
  • Only use a cylinder when there is adequate ventilation
