Stenching is something that gives some a substance a “rotten egg” smell so it can easily be detected by humans without equipment in case of a leak

Flammable refrigerants DO NOT contain a stenching agent because they are corrosive in nature so they do not have addition scents for detection added to them

To properly detect a leak of flammable refrigerants, technicians must use appropriate equipment to detect leaks that are both approved and calibrated for dealing with the refrigerants being used
