- Global Warming Potential (GWP ) is a term that was created to allow the comparisons of the Global Warming effects of different gasses to one another.
- It is the measurement of how much energy the emission of 1 ton of a gas will absorb over a given period of time in comparison to the emissions of 1 ton of Carbon Dioxide (C02).
- The Higher the GWP the more that a given gas will warm the Earth compared to C02 over that period of time. That time period being 100 years
