Course Overview

1. This online course objective is to increase the capacity and skills of students and experience technicians in Manitoba and across Canada to help with the transition of the HVAC/R and air conditioning sectors to using cleaner and greener refrigerants and properly recycle and disposed of refrigerant gasses

2. Help reduce the future greenhouse gasses released from refrigerants
3. Enhance the economic growth and clean tech job development in the HVAC and Air condition sectors

Aim to consult with industry leads to see and access what the industry and training requirements are to provide a smooth transition 

In Manitoba, there are over 7300 provincially certified technicians who use these refrigerants. However, new training needs to become available to ensure Manitoba’s technicians will have the expertise and direct knowledge in terms of health/ safety and proper equipment handling for emerging and green refrigerants
